Meet Our Newest Recovery

Our newest arrival is a beautiful buckskin Morgan gelding, estimated to be between 11 and 14 years old. Recovered from a feedlot, he was Amish-raised to both ride and drive and is now beginning his second chance at S&D Horseback Riding.
He arrived with severe founder requiring immediate attention. Before making the trip home, Sonja arranged for a farrier to treat his feet and requested personalized transportation to ensure he could make the journey as safely and comfortably as possible.
His recovery journey is just beginning. Over the coming weeks, he’ll get to know his veterinarian and farrier, be introduced to his new home and lifestyle at S&D, and begin the ColiClenz program. Most importantly, he’ll have time to settle in, heal, and learn that he is safe and cared for.
