Our Horses

Our founder, Sonja, has spent decades thoughtfully recovering and rehabilitating horses, giving them a second chance through patience, trust, and expert horsemanship. While many other rent strings operate nose-to-tail in mass groups with little or no instruction, our foundation is built on creating a safe yet active learning environment that compliments the personalities and needs of both horse and rider.

From gentle giants to spirited personalities, every horse at S&D plays an important role in helping riders feel safe, confident, and inspired. Every trail ride is a new step forward in the horse’s second chance at life, and we thank you for helping them to achieve that.
